Chris Tucker Hits The Stage

I hardly ever win anything, like ever. I’m serious. If there was a contest where everyone was a winner, I still probably wouldn’t win. So, when I got an email from Philly360, confirming that I had won tickets to see comedian Chris Tucker this past Friday, I was happy, to say the least. Free? Yes, please. I’ll take it! Thank You!

The show was great! Chris Tucker is naturally a funny guy. From his spot on MJ impressions and dance moves to his tax woes, he was HILARIOUS. I don’t want to give away too many details. Who know, he may be coming to a city near you. But just know, you will be laughing.

Incase you’ve been out of the loop for some time, he’s starred in the first Friday movie as “Smokey,” Craig’s (Ice Cube) friend who couldn’t seem to stay out of trouble. There’s been speculation that yet another Friday is in the making and that Smokey will make his return but I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Tucker has also starred in all of the Rush Hour movies with Jackie Chan and more recently, Silver Linings Playbook.

The venue, Tower Theater, is located just outside of Philly in Upper Darby, PA. Although it is easily accessible for public transportation users, like myself, I was not a fan of the crowd that it attracted. I know, I know, I know. Look at me being all bou-ghetto. Well, before you judge me, let me tell you exactly what happened.

For one, there were just too many distractions. There were constants movements from guests, leaving their seats to either use the restrooms or visit the concession stand or from ushers trying to help guests find their seats in the dark venue. That can get rather annoying when you’re trying to enjoy a show. Then on top of that, a fight broke out! No lie. Out of nowhere a girl started yelling and swinging at her lover who gave her a big shove. Thankfully they were both escorted out of the theater. Then a while later, another person was rushed out of the theater due to unknown circumstances. I was getting a show from Chris Tucker and the other patrons as well! I guess it all worked out in the end.

I would definitely recommend anyone living or visiting the Philadelphia area to check out Philly360 or follow them on social media to stay in the know about events happening in the city.
